1968-1977 :The Cruising speed

As from the early seventies, Tunisair activity was more and more closely linked to the growth of the sector of tourism. In this respect, the company fleet was consolidated with the introduction of the first Boeing 727-200 with a capacity more adapted to the company's needs.

At the same time, new routes were launched, including Cairo, Jeddah, Kuwait, Luxembourg London,Vienna and Scandinavia..

In August 1972, Tunisair moved to its new headquarters at 113, Avenue de la Liberté, Tunis, to accommodate the employees of the main departments of the company. The number of its employees reached at that time 1100, including 5 captains, 20 first officers and 27 flight engineers.
