Passenger Protection

If your flight is delayed, cancelled, or if you are denied boarding, you may be entitled to:

  • financial compensation, depending on the length and cause of the delay
  • free assistance, such as meals, hotel accommodations, transportation, and communication access
  • rebooking on another flight or a refund if no alternative is available.

If your checked baggage is lost or damaged, you may be entitled to:

  • reimbursement of baggage fees
  • compensation up to a regulated maximum amount
  • submit a claim within 7 days (damage) or 21 days (delay).

Children under 14 must be seated near a parent or guardian at no additional cost. We recommend you notify the airline during booking.

Depending on the child's age, seating may be:

  • adjacent (under 5)
  • within one or two rows (older children).

As a passenger, you are entitled to:

  • financial compensation in case of disruptions
  • free assistance depending on the situation (meals, hotel, transportation)
  • file a complaint directly with Tunisair
  • or contact the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) in case of unresolved issues.

If you are denied boarding, your flight is cancelled or delayed for at least two hours, or your baggage is lost or damaged, you may be entitled to certain standards of treatment and compensation under the Air Passenger Protection Regulations.

For more information about your passenger rights please contact your air carrier or visit the Canadian Transportation Agency’s website.
